CS Medical Announces Partnership with The Leapfrog Group

CS Medical is excited to announce a new partnership with The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization of employers and other purchasers focused on healthcare safety.

Based in Washington, DC, The Leapfrog Group was founded in 2000 with the goal of improving American healthcare quality and transparency by reporting information on medical errors, accidents, and infections. Leapfrog sets standards and publishes ratings of hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) on quality of care. It also serves as the foremost voice for business leaders advancing excellence in healthcare. Leapfrog partners advise the Leapfrog Board and management on industry and policy trends and help shape the organization's long-term strategic vision for improving healthcare quality. The Partners Advisory Committee is a platform for creating, implementing, and evaluating initiatives that advance the Leapfrog mission for patient safety and promote accountability.

President of CS Medical, Mark Leath, shared, “Since our inception, CS Medical has focused on science-based solutions to safely and effectively clean, disinfect, transport, and store ultrasound probes. Our solutions improve healthcare staff's performance, directly translating into improved patient outcomes. As surveyed and published annually, the improper or incomplete reprocessing of reusable medical devices is one of the driving factors in healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Through automation and science-based solutions, CS Medical is pleased to work with The Leapfrog Group to improve patient safety while improving the job experience for healthcare professionals.”

“We are proud to partner with CS Medical to improve patient safety in the United States. Their insights and expertise are crucial to our mission. Everyone deserves the highest quality care, and together with CS Medical, we can achieve our shared vision for excellence,” said Leah Binder, Leapfrog president and CEO.

One particular area of interest for CS Medical is Leapfrog’s collaborative culture, working alongside clinicians, hospitals, ASCs, health plans, and patient advocates to bring to life a shared vision for excellent patient care.

The products address the following areas: bedside cleaning, point of care cleaning, electrical leakage testing, drying, transporting, and storing the ultrasound probe. Our objective is to manage the care given to each ultrasound probe thus allowing for a reduction in healthcare associated infections.

Located in Creedmoor, North Carolina, CS Medical's products provide quality device care and storage by minimizing healthcare operational costs, improving device readiness, and increasing regulatory compliance.
